On the road

Day one.
We only left the yard at five-thirty in the evening. Most of the driving hours were spent in the dark, which was a bit challenging considering the amount of kids that were super excited about beginning the trip. But with some help from electronics, and eventually the late hour making the kids sleepy, we managed. :)
We traveled until after mid-night, stopping for the night at a Wal-mart in Watertown, South Dakota.

Day two.
We were on the road at around nine o'clock. We got eight hours of driving in before stopping at Saline, Kansas. It was good to be able to pull out the barbecue, and eat a meal stopped at a campground.
As of now, we have sixteen hours left to travel. I believe we hope to get an early start in the morning, and possibly arrive at our first destination tomorrow.

Anyway. The trip has been great so far!
Here are a few pictures that I snapped during these past two days.

This year dad bought a trailer and build some bunk beds inside. It has been SO nice to have extra space! I'll try to remember to take some pictures of the inside of it to show y'all tomorrow.
