Day 5 - Homestead Heritage and Magnolia

Hey all!
This morning we left Dallas, Texas and drove about two hours until we arrived at Homestead Heritage near Wako, Texas.

This place was quite cool.
The first stop was the general store.
Of course, Kerri found the frying pans. She is the best frying pan in the world (inside joke).
Oh, and don't mind the dude in the background with the machete, he is quite harmless... :)

In fact, he looks quite dapper in a cowboy hat...

There were flowers everywhere!
It's exciting for us Canadians this time of the year :)

The cheese store. We got to sample so many different kinds of cheese, and they were all SO yum!

Beautiful hand crafted furniture.

Weavers, basket makers, potters, blacksmiths, carpenters. They were all on display doing their thing so that we could watch. It was quite fascinating!

The buildings, and scenery were AMAZING. So beautiful.

This barn... (insert heart eye emoji)

The gang's all here!

This one is for you Ben.
I adopted this bench for us. ;)

We had a great time at the Homestead Heritage!

The next stop was just ten miles down the road... Magnolia.
Ker summed it up best by saying... "That was Fun!"
I didn't take a whole lot of pictures here. Mikey and I had to dance our way to the potty at one point, so I missed a few photo ops. But... it was amazing!

After stopping to get some groceries, we traveled until we game to Bryan, Texas where we are spending the night.
And that is all for tonight folks!
Until tomorrow!
