Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snow.....

Oh, the weather outside is frightful;
But the fire is so delightful
And since we've no place to go...
Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow!

Maybe someday I'll be able to sing the rest of the song :) But for now I'll leave it at that (heehee).

For some strange reason, I'm really excited about the snow falling this year!
Here in Manitoba, Canada you usually have 2 options, either you hate the snow or love the snow.
I love the snow.

I mean, how much fun is it to step outside and be the first person to put tracks in the freshly laid snow.
How much fun is it peek out the window and see little snow angels and snowmen made all over the yard.
How much fun it is to breathe in the fresh air that winter brings!
And one of my favourite things about snow and winter is that,
Our house is always so much more cozy in the winter time!

Anyhow. Our days seem to FINALLY be slowing down.... at least somewhat :) The busyness has changed from the "fall busy" to the "winter busy". For some reason the "winter busy" is so much more relaxing!
Yesterday we went to a Ernie Haas and Signature Sound concert. Our WHOLE family was able to go because everyone 18 and under was FREE!!
We did some shopping before hand, and of course whenever we go somewhere with our whole family.... well let me just say that we do not go by unnoticed! I told mom as we were leaving a store that I had forgotten how fun it was to bring ALL of us into the city! :)

The concert was GREAT! We arrived early, so we got good seats :)

Hope you all have an AMAZING weekend!!!

I think 'winter-busy' IS more relaxing than any season. It seems it is God's natural way to slow us down, let the plants have a rest, kill off a few insects (: and keep us from going non-stop until we drop.

In the tropics, it is difficult to slow down when the sun shines all year-round. We have to be more intentional about rest and taking care of the important things when there is no weather to force us inside for a cup of tea with a family member, or taking time to read and meditate on a difficult passage of Scripture.

And the snow is so beautiful to look at-- Enjoy, Spring will be here before you know it!

Good way to put it, Sharon. Another reason why the south is a fun place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there......
Jen, I would've LOVED to see your family at the concert.....or even shopping! I live in the "big city" so who knows; it may happen. Happy snow time! Gotta go get the shovels and make sure my extension cords are handy for plug-in-car days......

Shelby ~ You should come for a visit sometime! :)

Sharon ~ You are absolutly right! If we didn't have cold or snow here on the farm... the work would be endless! Our fridged winters are a blessing in disguise :)

Anonymous ~ We actually just met someone in the city who read our family blog.... so it's not impossible! Maybe we will run into each other sometime :)

Thanks for your comments!
